People use the silica gel packs to dry out phones. Used to use a bowl of rice, but silica works more efficiently.

At my salvation army thift store I can take items to back room and wait for pricing and the value villages have security guards its a weird wonderful world.

A Las Vegas reseller that I happened to be watching recently was thrifting in a Vegas Goodwill when the store made an announcement about the change in the regional Goodwill policy on unpriced items will no longer be priced by the cashier and allowed to be sold on the spot. You could hear the groans emanating from all corners of the store. Many thrift stores around the country have this policy of “no price, no sale,” it seems to be close to 50/50 of an unofficial percentage. Danni, take a deep breath, approach Goodwill Management calmly then find out their reasoning before you rip into them! 😂🤣😂 Seriously, I know you know how to deal with corporate executives, just kidding!

I have been a follower of yours for many years but today, with sadness, I am going to unsubscribe. Your comments about stealing were judgemental and unfair, and as you have always advocated being kind to everyone and to try and understand someone's situation before judging I was very surprised and disappointed.

I have been looking at the no price tag no sale from a different POV. What if they are tracking employees who are not doing their jobs correctly. Now they have to do the same work over again. If they track what stuff has to go be tagged again and see who is has to re- tag a scond time they may figure who needs to be retrained.

How can they let a person go with whole shopping trolley not paid for !

Our goodwills are the same. And yet there are so many items not priced, you’d think they’d spot check the shelves. I rarely go to regular stores anymore. Just bins.

The laminated "maps" remind me of the charts my husband and I used when we were cruising our sailboat.....they were for navigation. Today we have digital. I think those "map" may have been topographical charts that are no longer needed because of the digital age.

I found an item at GW that had no price. I took it up front and they took it and said..."We can't sell it to you". This other girl brought it right into the back. Well... Almost a week later I was at the GW Bins and I found it there!! The exact item. It had a tiny spot on it that I remembered. They took it from me and tossed it into thier "outlet" pile. What are the odds of that?!

ALL Goodwill shoppers should band together and let them know that we the people are NOT happy with their growing GREED. Everything or at least 99% of everything is DONATED to them for free!!! Yet they act as if THEY are buying it & losing tons of money. I HATE the no price, no sale rule because it's utterly STUPID however I'm sure they are putting a sticker on it with the latest color tags to restart the clock for when it went on the shelf giving it more time to sale OR a higher price sticker to make more money. They've already been switching color tags prior to Monday's - Thursday's dollar days... now THAT has stopped too. Here in TX it used to be the color of the week tag would be 50% over the weekend & whatever didn't sale would then go for a $1 starting on Mon - Thurs. However we bagan noticing certain items would have the color of the week tag at 50% off but by Mon. the tag on that item would be a different color with a higher price. Sometimes they didn't even bother removing the old sticker & would just put the new one on top to try to hide the old one. It's also possible, by so many now doing what you do, and recording what you find, showing their price then saying & showing the true value or what you sell it for might be part of the problem. Yet, THAT is the best part of these videos as well, the search, the knowledge & the success. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure some of the workers, even up to the corporate level, watch shows like this & are now trying to make those profits rather than share in it. But again, what they get is absolutely free, so by doing that, THEY are becoming very greedy. I already stopped going there & shopping the way we did, which my mother & I were spending $300 to $800 each a month and were not even resaling yet, we were just getting ready to start. I think we should unite & not shop there until they go back to their good ol' days. HUMBLED.

My Grammy would use the clam shell as a butter dish. Hers had a small knife with it. The etched silver candle holders? You could also put candy in them for the holidays. Also could use them for pretty soaps in a fancy bathroom.

The pottery mug, was like one of the first travel coffee mug, because the wide base prevents spilling when stopping and turning, while sitting on the dash. They were quite popular. I think it was the 60's .they had like rubber on the bottom.

I was just about to comment on the clam shell but I see that at least one if not more already told you what it is & for. 😉 And I agree with you... NO stealing! There are too many programs willing to help.

We have red, White and Blue in my city - I’ve been shopping there 20+ years and no price, no sale has always been their policy. Frustrating, I know.

God was watching over you. One of the ten commandments "Thou Shall Not Steal" I cannot believe someone said what they said to you about stealing. Enjoyed the shopping and Goodwill did that to me one time.

That is the policy for volunteers of America in Ohio to to not let you have it if the price falls off sometimes you get a person at the register who just wants to give it to you and they will override that policy eventually once they realize it’s ridiculous however they might be nice to me because I don’t look like a resellerthey have to have that policy because if you don’t like the price, you just pull it off and people at the register are not trained to price. I know it doesn’t seem fair but you just had your life saved. God was watching out for you so try and be happy I feel for you.
